"How to Get What You Want" by Orison Swett Marden is classic Law of Attraction teaching, but without the "mumbo-jumbo" that can sometimes accompany metaphysical works. The material in this book is clear, concise and well-written. Orison provides a thorough, comprehensive lecture on the Universal Laws and the Powers of our Thoughts, but further provides the requisite perscription of the practial means that we must undertake as our part of the Success process. That is where many books fail - theory is provided and explained in detail, but the missing ingredient - our individual efforts to realize that which we Desire - is often glossed over or missing completely.
If you are a regular visitor of this site, you probably know where I stand on this issue: Health, Wealth, Prosperity and Success can ONLY be realized through concerted, complimentary efforts of Mind and Action. Nothing is going to happen unless YOU make it happen and are willing to make sacrifices and put in the persistent work required. God will not provide Success to those who spend their lives watching television or spending time on the Internet.
